Fort Worth Man Receives Life Sentence for Game Room Clerk Murder

Albert Gonzalez, 29, has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole after being found guilty of capital murder for the fatal shooting of Mahmoud Ghanim, a game room clerk, during a robbery in Fort Worth on March 4, 2021. Gonzalez shot Ghanim in the torso while attempting to rob the 5D Smoke Shop and Game Room, after which he and his accomplice, Renay Juan Moreno, stole money and valuables from both Ghanim and other patrons.
