Rheinmetall Secures €260M Bundeswehr Contract for Logistical Support

Rheinmetall has secured a significant contract with the Bundeswehr, valued at up to €260 million, to provide logistical support for the redeployment of military forces within Germany and abroad. The three-year agreement, which can be extended until 2029, will see Rheinmetall Project Solutions GmbH establish and operate Convoy Support Centres and assembly areas, enhancing Germany's role as a logistical hub for NATO and EU defense operations. The deal comes amid increasing interest in European defense spending, particularly following calls from former U.S. President Donald Trump for Europe to bolster its military investment. Rheinmetall's services will not only support the Bundeswehr but also extend to allied forces, including NATO and UN troops. CEO Dr. Deniz Akitürk expressed optimism about expanding the company's footprint in military logistics, emphasizing the importance of the contract in strengthening defense infrastructure.
