Sánchez's remarks align with those of French President Emmanuel Macron, who has also advocated for ending weapons deliveries to Israel. These calls have been met with criticism from the Israeli government, which has described such comments as disgraceful. Sánchez, who has taken a strong stance against Israel's military actions, noted that Spain had already suspended its arms exports to Israel in October 2023.
