Trump Appoints New Bipartisan Governors Council

Other appointed governors include Republicans Ron DeSantis, Brian Kemp, Jeff Landry, and Henry McMaster, and Democrats Wes Moore, Kathy Hochul, Josh Shapiro, and Gretchen Whitmer. The council aims to improve collaboration on issues such as disaster response and National Guard operations, with members serving two-year terms under presidential appointment. Governor Wes Moore of Maryland has expressed a commitment to collaborating with the Trump administration while also defending Maryland's interests.
