Doctors for America has filed a lawsuit against several federal health agencies, including the CDC and FDA, for the abrupt removal of crucial health data from government websites. The lawsuit, initiated in U.S. District Court, argues that this action creates significant gaps in the essential information needed for disease monitoring and clinical practice, impacting clinicians and researchers. The complaint claims the agencies abused their discretion by taking this data offline without prior notice, in line with executive orders from President Trump. The group, representing 27,000 members, seeks to compel the agencies to restore the removed webpages and halt further modifications that could hinder public access to health information. This legal challenge reflects growing concerns over transparency and access to vital health data under the current administration. Both the White House and HHS have yet to comment on the lawsuit.
