Natalie Dormer Withdraws Promotion, Donates Salary
Natalie Dormer said she will not take part in promoting ITV/BritBox’s four-part drama The Lady after resurfaced 2011 correspondence showed the Duchess of York writing to Jeffrey Epstein and calling him a “supreme friend.” Dormer announced she has donated her entire salary from the project to the National Association for People Abused in Childhood (NAPAC) and the Centre of Expertise on Child Sexual Abuse (hosted by Barnardo’s) and said her decision is not a reflection on production company Left Bank. Several charities have severed ties with the duchess following the emergence of the emails, and reports say the letter followed alleged threats from Epstein. The Lady, produced by Left Bank and starring Mia McKenna‑Bruce, dramatizes former royal dresser Jane Andrews and is slated for release in late 2025/early 2026. The controversy has added to public scrutiny of Ferguson’s past ties to Epstein, who was convicted of sex offences and died in U.S. custody in 2019.
