The proposed 15-member Citizens Redistricting Commission would include five Republicans, five Democrats, and five independents, and would exclude elected officials, lobbyists, and political consultants. Proponents argue this change will eliminate partisan gerrymandering, while opponents claim it lacks accountability. If approved, the new commission would redraw the maps for the 2026 elections. The Ohio Ballot Board will next finalize the ballot language for the measure.
