Todd Chrisley Removed as Prison Chaplain's Assistant

Todd Chrisley, the star of 'Chrisley Knows Best,' has been removed from his volunteer position as a chaplain's assistant at the Federal Prison Camp Pensacola where he is serving a 10-year sentence for fraud-related charges. His attorney, Jay Surgent, stated that Chrisley was dismissed for 'associating with inmates' in the prison's Residential Drug Abuse Program, although no formal reason or hearing was provided. Chrisley expressed disappointment as he found fulfillment in organizing religious services for inmates of various faiths. Despite losing his chapel role, Chrisley remains eligible to attend religious services. Both Todd and his wife, Julie Chrisley, were convicted of bank fraud and tax evasion in 2022, receiving 12 and 7-year sentences, respectively, which have since been reduced. The Federal Bureau of Prisons has not commented on the specific reasons for Chrisley's dismissal, citing privacy concerns.
