Israel Strikes Kill About 104 in Gaza During Ceasefire

Israel said it remained committed to the US‑backed ceasefire after launching heavy overnight airstrikes in Gaza in retaliation for the killing of an Israeli soldier. Gaza health authorities said the strikes killed about 104 people, including many children and women. The IDF said it struck dozens of Hamas operatives — including some commanders — and targeted weapons depots, tunnels and other infrastructure, and said the truce had been or would be reinstated after the operations.
