Three Coyotes Removed After 8-Year-Old Attacked in Frisco Neighborhood

An 8-year-old girl in Frisco was attacked by a coyote while walking with her mother in the Lexington Park community, sustaining non-life-threatening scratches and a bite. The mother successfully chased the coyote away, and subsequently, Frisco Animal Services along with the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Texas Wildlife Services Program removed three coyotes from the neighborhood for testing. Authorities advise residents to carry noise-making devices such as airhorns or whistles to scare off aggressive animals, keep small pets on a leash, avoid feeding wildlife, and secure trash containers. Police urge anyone encountering aggressive animals to contact them immediately. The incident has prompted increased community awareness and wildlife control measures to prevent future attacks.
