Oracle, Silver Lake, MGX to Buy 45% TikTok U.S.

Oracle, private equity firm Silver Lake and Abu Dhabi-based MGX are set to be the lead investors in a U.S. version of TikTok, collectively owning about 45% of TikTok U.S. ByteDance would retain roughly 19.9%, with about 35% held by existing ByteDance investors and other firms such as General Atlantic, Susquehanna and Sequoia. Negotiations reportedly include board-seat allocations for the investor group, and the Trump administration encouraged MGX to join as part of a U.S.-China-brokered divestiture that President Trump is expected to sign. Lead investors have not immediately commented publicly.
