ICE Arrests Three Migrants for Child Rape

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has arrested three illegal immigrants in Massachusetts, including two charged with child rape and one a convicted child rapist from Brazil. Alexandre Romao De Oliveira, a Brazilian national, was apprehended after fleeing his home country to evade a 14-year prison sentence for child rape. Mynor Stiven De Paz-Munoz, a Guatemalan national, faces multiple charges of child rape and was previously released by local authorities despite an ICE detainer request. Colombian national Billy Erney Buitrago-Bustos was also arrested for child rape after overstaying his visa. These arrests highlight tensions between federal immigration enforcement and Massachusetts state leaders, who have indicated they will not cooperate with the incoming Trump administration's immigration policies. Acting ICE officials emphasize the importance of collaboration with local law enforcement to enhance public safety.
