UK Leaders Address Ongoing Russia-Ukraine Conflict

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has reiterated that the UK is not at war with Russia, despite the ongoing war in Ukraine, which has lasted over 1,000 days due to Russia's invasion. Starmer condemned Russian President Vladimir Putin's recent nuclear threats as irresponsible and emphasized the UK's continued support for Ukraine, asserting that succumbing to such threats would lead to serious consequences for Europe. Russian Ambassador to the UK Andrey Kelin claims the UK is directly involved in the conflict, as military supplies from NATO, including the UK and US, have enabled Ukraine to strike targets in Russia. In response, Defence Procurement Minister Maria Eagle asserted that the UK will not be deterred from supporting Ukraine, highlighting the importance of standing firm against Russian aggression. The UK government remains committed to providing Ukraine with necessary military support to ensure its defense against Russian forces. This stance comes amidst increased tensions as Ukraine has begun using long-range missiles supplied by the US to target Russian military facilities.
