Sen. Eichorn Arrested for Soliciting Prostitution Sting

Minnesota State Senator Justin Eichorn, a Republican from Grand Rapids, has been arrested in Bloomington for allegedly soliciting prostitution from a minor as part of a police sting operation. Eichorn was caught after arranging to meet what he believed to be a 16-year-old girl, who was actually a detective. Felony charges are pending from the Hennepin County Attorney's Office. The incident has prompted calls for his resignation from both Democratic and Republican leaders, citing the seriousness of the allegations. Eichorn was also one of the authors of a controversial bill to define 'Trump derangement syndrome' as a mental illness, which has gained national attention.
