Former Trump CIA Director Suggests Clinton, Brennan, Comey Face DOJ Prosecution
CIA Director John Ratcliffe has publicly alleged that senior Obama administration officials, including Hillary Clinton, John Brennan, James Comey, and James Clapper, could face prosecution related to the origins of the Russia collusion investigation, which he and the Trump administration describe as a 'hoax.' Ratcliffe claimed that evidence, including a classified annex from Special Counsel John Durham's investigation, supports the assertion that Clinton orchestrated a scheme involving the Steele Dossier to falsely accuse Donald Trump of colluding with Russia. He has made referrals to the Department of Justice to consider charges such as perjury against these former officials, asserting that their testimony conflicts with underlying intelligence soon to be declassified. Tulsi Gabbard, Director of National Intelligence under Trump, has also released documents she says reveal a 'treasonous conspiracy' behind the Russia investigation, although these documents confirm Russia's efforts to influence the 2016 election without altering vote counts. President Trump acknowledged that former President Obama might avoid accountability due to Supreme Court immunity rulings but suggested others involved in the alleged conspiracy could still be held responsible. These developments reflect the Trump administration's ongoing effort to reframe the Russia investigation as a politically motivated fabrication.
