Biden Pledges More Aid to Ukraine Amid Resistance

In a meeting with Ukrainian President, Vladimir Zelensky, US President, Joe Biden, pledged continued US support to Ukraine, announcing a further $200m military aid package. This comes as Congress is attempting to push through a $106bn 'national security package' for Ukraine and Israel, facing resistance from Republican lawmakers demanding stricter border control. The US has already provided $111bn in aid since Russia launched its invasion in February 2022. Biden's commitment comes amid claims that Russian President, Vladimir Putin, is banking on the US failing to provide sufficient support for Ukraine.
