Troy Edgar Nominated as Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security

President-elect Donald Trump has nominated Troy Edgar, a former mayor of Los Alamitos and U.S. Navy veteran, as Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security. Edgar previously served as Chief Financial Officer and Associate Deputy Under Secretary of Management for Homeland Security, where he managed a $90 billion budget and contributed to immigration policy and border wall funding. Trump praised Edgar's leadership during the revolt against Sanctuary Cities in 2018 and expressed excitement about his contribution to the administration's goals. Edgar, who has held executive positions at IBM, Boeing, and Price Waterhouse, brings extensive experience in management and public service. In addition, Trump announced the appointment of Devin Nunes as chair of the Intelligence Advisory Board and Bill White as U.S. Ambassador to Belgium, highlighting their qualifications and commitment to service.
