Fort Carson Soldier Charged After Major Colorado Nightclub Drug Raid
Staff Sgt. Juan Gabriel Orona-Rodriguez, a U.S. Army soldier stationed at Fort Carson, has been charged with conspiracy to distribute cocaine, selling cocaine to an undercover DEA agent, and allegedly trafficking firearms with high-capacity magazines to individuals in the country illegally. Orona-Rodriguez, who holds a leadership role in Immortal Security LLC, is accused of providing armed security for nightclubs, including Warike, an underground club in Colorado Springs that was raided by federal agents. The raid resulted in the arrests of over 100 people, most of whom were reportedly in the U.S. illegally; several active-duty military personnel were present as security or patrons. Investigators recovered numerous text messages suggesting ongoing drug transactions between September 2024 and April 2025, and believe Orona-Rodriguez's associates include individuals unlawfully present in the U.S. Authorities also found evidence of drugs, firearms, and prostitution at Warike, a club previously linked to gang activity and subject to over 170 law enforcement calls in two years. Fort Carson officials have stated they are cooperating with the investigation and reiterated that illegal activities do not reflect military values.
