Rudy Giuliani Transfers Assets to Defamed Election Workers

Rudy Giuliani has begun to comply with a $148 million defamation judgment by turning over several assets to Georgia election workers Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss, whom he defamed in 2020. His lawyer, Joseph Cammarata, reported the delivery of Giuliani's watch collection, a ring, and a vintage Mercedes-Benz, with additional financial assets being surrendered as well. The court had previously ordered Giuliani to hand over various valuable items, including his Madison Avenue apartment and luxury memorabilia, to facilitate the payment to Freeman and Moss. The defamation case arose from Giuliani's unfounded claims of election fraud against the women, which led to severe harassment and threats against them. Despite these actions, Giuliani's attorney maintains that some of his possessions should be exempt from the judgment, citing legal protections. The ongoing legal battle includes Giuliani's attempts to retain other properties valued at millions, while he continues to fight the judgment.
