Baier's contract with Fox News runs through 2028 with a reported $14 million annual salary, making an immediate move challenging. Weiss, who joined CBS after her center-right outlet The Free Press was acquired by CBS's parent company Paramount, has already begun implementing staffing changes and promoting a vision of "radically centrist" journalism that holds both political parties to equal scrutiny.
