Josiah Anthony, the lead pastor of Cross Timbers Church in Argyle, Texas, has resigned due to inappropriate and hurtful actions linked to a prolonged struggle with his emotional and mental health. Church elder John Chalk emphasized that Anthony's actions did not involve children, physical or sexual misconduct, or illegal activities. Anthony was asked to resign after failing to be transparent with the church's staff and elders. Byron Copeland, the church's executive pastor and former Gateway Church employee, will serve as interim lead pastor.
