Nevada Rep. Titus Plans Bill to Restore Gambling Loss Tax Deductions

Titus argues this change unfairly burdens both casual and professional gamblers, potentially pushing them toward unregulated offshore gambling markets that do not pay taxes or support local economies. She plans to introduce legislation, the FAIR BET Act, to restore the full 100% deduction and has pledged to seek amendments or standalone bills if necessary. Industry stakeholders, including casino owner Derek Stevens and the American Gaming Association, have expressed concerns about the provision's negative impact on the gaming industry and Nevada's economy.
