Chinese FM Wang Yi plans Italy, Switzerland visits for high-level talks

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi is scheduled to visit Italy and Switzerland from October 7 to 12 to engage in high-level diplomatic meetings. In Italy, he will hold the 12th Joint Meeting of the China-Italy Government Committee, followed by the 4th round of the China-Switzerland Foreign Ministers' Strategic Dialogue in Switzerland. The visits are by invitation from Italy's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani and Swiss Federal Councillor and Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis. Wang Yi, who is also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, will use this trip to strengthen diplomatic relations with both European nations. These meetings underscore ongoing cooperation and strategic dialogue between China and these European countries.
