Trump Federalizes Oregon Guard; State Sues

President Trump has federalized 200 Oregon National Guard troops for deployment to Portland to protect federal facilities and support law enforcement as part of a broader national mobilization. Officials say the force, drawn from the National Guard Response Force and trained in military-police, crowd-control and “civil disobedience” response, could arrive within the Guard’s 96‑hour mobilization window (as soon as Thursday) and is expected to remain for about 60 days.
