Kathryn Crosby, Widow of Bing Crosby, Dies
Kathryn Crosby, the widow of legendary singer and actor Bing Crosby, passed away at the age of 90 at her home in Hillsborough, California, due to natural causes. She was born Olive Kathryn Grandstaff on November 25, 1933, in Texas and began her acting career in 1953, appearing in films such as 'The 7th Voyage of Sinbad' and 'Anatomy of a Murder'. Kathryn met Bing while interviewing him for a column and they married in 1957, after which she reduced her acting work but continued to appear in his Christmas specials. She later became a registered nurse and teacher and hosted the Kathryn Crosby Show and the Crosby National Golf Tournament. Kathryn is survived by her three children and several grandchildren. Her contributions to film and television, along with her charitable work, left a lasting legacy.
