Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie will teach a course titled 'How to Run a Political Campaign' at Yale University's Jackson School of Global Affairs this semester. The seminar, open to both undergraduate and graduate students, will cover aspects of political campaigns such as communications, fundraising, and the goals of leadership. Christie, who has previously run for the Republican presidential nomination, emphasized the importance of truth in leadership during a recent talk, noting that leaders have increasingly abandoned it. He served as governor from 2010 to 2018 and was U.S. attorney from 2002 to 2008, having endorsed Donald Trump during the 2016 election cycle. Despite his past ties to Trump, Christie distanced himself from the former president after rejecting claims of election fraud. His teaching role at Yale follows a brief 2024 presidential campaign that ended just before the Iowa caucuses in January.
