Tesla Charging Unit Sparks Major House Fire in Lewisville Texas

A Tesla charging unit sparked a major fire in a Lewisville, Texas garage, causing extensive damage to a two-story home and destroying a Lexus vehicle parked inside. The homeowner noticed electrical arcing from the charger after plugging in her Tesla and quickly moved the car out of the garage, preventing damage to the vehicle. Despite this, the fire spread rapidly, engulfing the nearby Lexus and extending into the upper floors and attic of the house. Firefighters arrived promptly and controlled the blaze by 1:15 p.m., with no injuries reported, though one firefighter was treated for heat exhaustion. Investigators are currently determining the exact cause of the electrical fire linked to the Tesla charging unit. Tesla has not yet commented on the incident.
