HBO Max Releases Teaser for 'The Pitt' Season 2 Premiere January 2026

HBO Max's medical drama The Pitt has released a teaser for its second season, which is set to premiere in January 2026 and will feature a time jump of 10 months to the Fourth of July weekend. The new season will see the return of most of the original cast, including Noah Wyle as Dr. Michael "Robby" Robinavitch and Patrick Ball as Dr. Frank Langdon, who comes back after rehab. Tracy Ifeachor, who played Dr. Heather Collins, will not return, and Sepideh Moafi joins as Dr. Al-Hashimi. The show, which earned 13 Emmy nominations in its first season, will explore new storylines including immigration, autism, and PTSD. The series, filmed mostly in California with some scenes shot in Pittsburgh, aims to deepen its local Pittsburgh atmosphere, as evidenced by the inclusion of Pittsburgh sports references in the teaser. Executive Producer John Wells expressed hopes to include official sports logos in future seasons to further reflect the show's Pittsburgh setting.
