Witness Corroborates Attack on Trump Supporter in Largo

Laura Elizabeth Garrett, 33, was arrested in Largo, Florida, after allegedly attacking a 72-year-old man wearing a MAGA hat in a local park. Police say Garrett confronted the man about his support for Donald Trump, poured a can's contents on his head, and struck him with it before fleeing. An independent witness confirmed the victim's version of events. When officers tried to arrest her, Garrett resisted by dropping her body weight, kicking, and wrapping her legs around an officer, causing him to fall and bruise his knee. She was charged with battery on a person 65 years or older, battery on a law enforcement officer, and resisting an officer without violence. Garrett was released from jail the following evening.
