Chairman Casey Wasserman stated that they have already established communication with Trump's transition team and expressed confidence in collaborating effectively with the new administration. He remarked that the Olympics are fundamentally American and require cooperation across party lines. The LA28 budget stands at $6.9 billion, with security expected to cost an additional $1-2 billion, primarily funded by the federal government. Wasserman noted their successful interactions with both Republican and Democratic administrations in the past and reiterated their commitment to ongoing coordination as the games approach. The Los Angeles Olympics are scheduled to commence on July 14, 2028.
