Bexar County Seizes $180K in Narcotics, Two Gang Members Arrested
Two men, Robert Gomez III and Juan Bustamante, were arrested in Bexar County, Texas, following a drug bust that uncovered approximately $180,000 worth of narcotics, including seven kilograms of crystal meth and one kilogram of heroin. The arrests occurred during a traffic stop near Loop 410 South as part of an ongoing investigation, with Gomez found in possession of four bags of meth, a bag of suspected heroin, and a firearm. Bustamante attempted to flee but was apprehended after discarding eight additional bags of meth. Searches of Gomez's residence and business revealed a money counter and packaging materials, indicating a significant drug trafficking operation. Both suspects, identified as documented gang members, face multiple drug-related charges, including manufacturing and delivering a controlled substance over 400 grams. They have been booked into the Bexar County Jail pending further legal proceedings.
