US Military Conducts Ninth Pacific Strike on Alleged Narco-Terrorist Vessels
The U.S. military, under the direction of President Donald Trump and announced by Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, has conducted multiple lethal strikes on vessels in the Eastern Pacific Ocean linked to designated terrorist organizations engaged in narcotics trafficking. The latest strike targeted a vessel known by U.S. intelligence to be operating along a known drug-smuggling route, resulting in the deaths of three individuals described as narco-terrorists. These operations are part of a broader campaign, with at least nine strikes on suspected drug boats since September, aiming to disrupt narcotics trafficking networks that Hegseth equates with terrorist threats akin to Al Qaeda. The Pentagon has not released identities or evidence related to the strikes, but Hegseth emphasized that these actions will continue relentlessly to protect American cities from drug-related violence. This military effort coincides with political tensions involving Venezuela, with the Trump administration accusing Venezuelan leadership of profiting from drug trafficking and authorizing CIA operations against them. Hegseth’s statements make clear that the U.S. is committed to aggressively targeting narco-terrorists to extinguish the threat posed to the American people.
