Organizations Nationwide Combat Food Insecurity

As the holiday season approaches, various organizations across the United States are stepping up efforts to combat food insecurity and support families in need. Savannah Feed the Hungry has provided over 1.5 million meals since 2009 and continues to host community dinners. News Channel 3 and SunLine Transit Agency are conducting a 'Fill the Bus' drive to collect food and essential items in California. In Louisville, Volunteers of America, in collaboration with Texas Roadhouse, is distributing Thanksgiving meal boxes to families in recovery programs. The Great Idaho Food Drive is addressing hunger issues in Idaho, where 14% of families face food insecurity. Additionally, Feed the Children and local partners distributed food and essentials to hundreds of families in Norman, Oklahoma, as part of the No Hunger Holidays campaign.
