Ukraine Confirms Successful Tests, Plans Mass Production of 3000km Flamingo Missile

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that the new long-range cruise missile, Flamingo, has successfully passed tests and will enter mass production by late 2025 or early 2026. The missile, with a range of 3,000 kilometers and a one-ton warhead, is described as the most successful weapon in Ukraine’s arsenal and is expected to significantly enhance the country's defense capabilities. Zelenskyy emphasized that it is too early to disclose full details until Ukraine has hundreds of these missiles ready for deployment. The program’s further progress depends on stable funding and continued successful testing. The Flamingo missile is viewed as a critical component of Ukraine’s strategic plan to develop high-tech weapons independently, potentially shifting the regional balance of power. Ukrainian officials have also indicated that serial production has already begun, with the missile resembling or being an analogue to the FP-5 missile presented earlier in 2025.
