Zoo Atlanta's Pandas to Return to China

Zoo Atlanta's four giant pandas, Lun Lun, Yang Yang, Ya Lun, and Xi Lun, will be relocated to China next month as their 25-year loan agreement with China concludes. This move follows a trend where other U.S. zoos have returned pandas amid diplomatic tensions. The pandas have significantly contributed to scientific understanding and conservation efforts, including over $17 million invested by Zoo Atlanta. Fans have about three weeks left to visit the pandas, with a 'Panda-Palooza' event scheduled on October 5 to bid them farewell. The zoo remains hopeful about future collaborations with China for panda conservation.
