The family has decided to shift their focus from treatment to cherishing the time they have left with Love. They are asking for photos and memories to create an archive honoring her life, with Abigale providing an email address for submissions. Love, who served in Congress from 2015 to 2019 and was the first Black Republican woman elected to the House, had previously expressed hope during her cancer journey. Utah Governor Spencer Cox and others have extended their support to the family during this difficult time. Love's diagnosis came in early 2022, and she was known for her resilience in the face of the aggressive cancer.
