Russia's ongoing offensive in Ukraine has resulted in significant casualties, with Ukraine's General Staff reporting 1,020 Russian losses in a single day and the UK's Ministry of Defence estimating over 610,000 Russian casualties to date. In Kharkiv, a Russian-guided bomb attack on a multi-storey apartment building killed one person and injured up to 42 others, resulting in extensive damage and fires. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has reiterated his call for Western allies to supply more arms and give permission for Ukraine to strike deep inside Russia, arguing it will help save lives.
