At Least Four Killed in Michigan Church Attack

Authorities say 40-year-old Thomas Jacob Sanford of Burton, a former U.S. Marine who served in Iraq, rammed a pickup into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Grand Blanc on Sunday, opened fire during a crowded service, set the building ablaze and was shot dead by responding officers. Investigators, including the FBI, say Sanford apparently used gasoline to start the fire and that explosive devices were found at the scene, though it is unclear whether they were detonated.
