Fort Worth Police Arrest Seven in Houston-Based ATM Theft Ring

Seven suspects were arrested in Fort Worth on January 16, 2025, as part of an operation targeting a Houston-based ATM theft crew believed to be responsible for multiple thefts in the area. The arrests followed a tip-off that the suspects were planning to target an ATM on Hulen Street, where they arrived in a stolen Ford F250 with tools including a pry bar and sledgehammer. As the suspects attempted to use tow straps to pull the ATM from its location, Fort Worth police intervened, apprehending three individuals at the scene while four additional suspects in lookout vehicles were also arrested. All seven suspects face charges of engaging in organized criminal activity, with three of them additionally charged with evading arrest. The operation involved collaboration with various law enforcement units, emphasizing the commitment to combatting such crimes. Investigators are still working to confirm connections to other recent ATM thefts in the region.
