Meanwhile, the Ukraine-Russia war remains intense, with recent drone attacks in Odesa and ongoing military actions in eastern Ukraine, where Russia has gained some territory despite Ukrainian counteroffensives. Humanitarian conditions continue to deteriorate in Ukraine, with 14.6 million people in need of assistance and significant civilian casualties reported due to military hostilities in Donetsk, Kharkiv, and Sumy oblasts. Notably, three International Committee of the Red Cross staff members were killed while delivering aid in Donetska Oblast, highlighting the risks faced by humanitarian workers. As the conflict escalates, the humanitarian situation worsens, necessitating urgent international assistance.
