Humanitarian Crisis Worsens Amid Ukraine Conflict

In the second quarter of 2024, Refugee Response Plan partners in Moldova have successfully enhanced services for refugees, focusing on their inclusion and participation in decision-making. Humanitarian conditions continue to deteriorate in Ukraine, with 14.6 million people in need of assistance and significant civilian casualties reported due to military hostilities in Donetsk, Kharkiv, and Sumy oblasts. Notably, three International Committee of the Red Cross staff members were killed while delivering aid in Donetska Oblast, highlighting the risks faced by humanitarian workers.
