Denton Women Sentenced to 20 Years in Fatal Fentanyl Overdose

Tiffane Chantial Volz, 37, and Courtney Green, 28, both from Denton, Texas, were sentenced to nearly 20 years in federal prison for their involvement in a fatal fentanyl overdose case. Volz received a 235-month sentence, while Green was sentenced to 240 months after both pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute and possess fentanyl. Their sentences stemmed from an incident on April 15, 2023, when authorities responded to an overdose death in Celina, Texas, where the victim was found to have died from fentanyl toxicity.
