Police Seek Public Help in Haltom City Shooting
Haltom City police are investigating a road rage shooting that resulted in the death of a 16-year-old boy, Raul Gonzalez, who succumbed to his injuries on September 24 after being shot on September 15. The incident occurred between 4:15 a.m. and 4:45 a.m. near the 4400 block of East Belknap Road, where occupants of a black 1999 Honda Accord fired upon Gonzalez's vehicle. The suspect vehicle, described as having a gray hood and gray front-right quarter panel with license plate FNV9986, has not been seen since the shooting, prompting police to seek public assistance in identifying the suspects. Investigators believe the shooting was isolated and that the victim and suspects did not know each other. Authorities encourage anyone with relevant information or video evidence to contact Haltom City Police Department. The license plate has been entered into national crime databases as a wanted vehicle.
