Survey Reveals Federal Managers' Opposition to Trump

A recent RMG Research survey revealed that 42% of federal government managers in Washington, D.C. plan to resist the incoming second administration of Donald Trump, indicating a significant portion of federal employees may act against the elected president. The survey segmented respondents into three groups: the Elite 1%, Main Street Americans, and Federal Government Managers. While 59% of Main Street Americans expressed support for the Trump administration, only 28% indicated they would resist, and among the Elite 1%, 48% supported Trump compared to 39% who would resist. The findings suggest a divide between federal employees and the broader American populace regarding support for the Trump administration. Despite some resistance from within the federal workforce, the general sentiment among Americans appears more favorable towards Trump, particularly among those outside the political elite. This contrast highlights ongoing tensions between different societal segments regarding government trust and political allegiance.
