Russian Missile Strike Kills Four in Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine

A Russian missile strike on a hotel in Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine, late Wednesday resulted in at least four fatalities and left over 30 injured, as confirmed by local officials. The attack, which occurred shortly after a group of international humanitarian volunteers checked into the hotel, also caused significant damage to surrounding buildings and infrastructure. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized the need for continued pressure on Russia in response to the attack, which he described as part of the ongoing terror against life in Ukraine. Rescuers worked through the night to search for survivors, successfully pulling 19 people from the rubble. This incident is part of a larger pattern of Russian missile and drone strikes targeting multiple regions in Ukraine. Despite the ongoing conflict, Ukrainian air defenses managed to intercept a significant number of incoming threats on the same night, including 68 out of 112 launched drones.
