Tesla Launches Operations in Saudi Arabia, Unveils EV Lineup

Tesla has officially launched operations in Saudi Arabia, marking a significant expansion for the company amid a complex history with the kingdom. The new showroom and service center in Riyadh will feature models such as the Model 3, Model Y, and Cybertruck, and aims to support Saudi Arabia's goal of increasing electric vehicle usage to 30% by 2030. Despite challenges, including limited existing EV infrastructure and extreme heat conditions, the Saudi government is committed to enhancing EV facilities. Tesla's entry is seen as a sign of improved relations between Elon Musk and Saudi leadership after past disputes. The company is also planning to introduce a Long Range Rear Wheel Drive Cybertruck variant, further diversifying its offerings in the region. There are projections that Tesla could deliver around 30,000 vehicles annually in Saudi Arabia within a couple of years.
