Trump Media and Technology Group (TMTG), the company behind Truth Social, has integrated Crypto.com's Cronos (CRO) token into its platform, allowing users of the paid Patriot Package to earn digital "Truth gems" that can be converted into CRO via Crypto.com's wallet. This marks a strategic pivot from TMTG's earlier plan to launch its own proprietary utility token, opting instead to leverage Crypto.com's established infrastructure and avoid regulatory complexities associated with issuing a new token. The partnership between Trump Media and Crypto.com extends beyond this integration, including a substantial purchase of CRO tokens by TMTG and plans to launch crypto-based exchange-traded funds in collaboration with Crypto.com. The new features on Truth Social also include premium tools such as post editing, scheduling, and enhanced search functions, aimed at increasing user engagement. Crypto.com CEO Kris Marszalek highlighted the growing utility of CRO through such partnerships, which has positively impacted the token's market performance.
