Major League Baseball (MLB) will revert to players wearing their primary home and away uniforms for the All-Star Game starting in 2025, ending the use of specially designed league uniforms introduced in 2021. This change follows widespread criticism from players and fans regarding the Nike Vapor Premier jerseys introduced in 2024, which were criticized for poor fit and smaller lettering. The decision to revert to traditional uniforms comes after surveys and discussions with players, the MLB Players Association, Nike, and Fanatics. Additional uniform changes will be phased in by 2026, including pant customization and returning to previous materials. Players will still wear special uniforms for the Home Run Derby workout day, but Home Run Derby participants will wear their home uniforms.
