Arrest Made in Megan Johns 1994 Murder Case

Irving Police have arrested 61-year-old Darryl Patrick Goggans in connection with the 1994 murder of his neighbor, 29-year-old Megan Beth Johns, after nearly 31 years. Johns was found stabbed to death in her ransacked apartment after failing to show up for work, with no signs of forced entry. Goggans, who was interviewed at the time but not charged, was linked to the crime after detectives sent preserved evidence to a private lab, which developed a DNA profile that matched him in the national database CODIS.
