Afghan Charged in France for Terror Plot

This arrest is linked to another case in the United States, where 27-year-old Nasir Ahmad Tawhedi was arrested for planning an Election Day attack in Oklahoma, also on behalf of ISIS. Both suspects are believed to be supporters of ISIS, with Tawhedi having a background as a CIA security guard in Afghanistan. French and U.S. officials have not confirmed if the two men are brothers, but they have acknowledged a connection between the cases through shared online communications.
