Trump names McMaster, Levin, Gruters to Homeland Security Advisory Council

Former President Donald Trump has announced the formation of a revamped Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC), appointing conservative commentator Mark Levin, South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster, Florida state Senator Joe Gruters, and former NYPD detective Bo Dietl as members. Trump stated that the council will focus on developing new policies and strategies to secure the U.S. border, deport criminal aliens, combat the flow of fentanyl and other illegal drugs, and enhance national safety. The council will operate under the leadership of Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem. Levin, known for his work in the Convention of States movement and as a Fox News host, was highlighted as an influential addition due to his policy experience and grassroots activism. Gruters, a Trump ally and current candidate for Florida's chief financial officer, also serves as treasurer of the Republican National Committee. Trump expressed confidence in the new members' ability to contribute significantly to national security efforts.
